Germination Guide
Thank you for selecting Silberhaze Genetics for your cannabis cultivation adventure!
Our Germination Guide is crafted to offer you detailed instructions and expert tips, guaranteeing a successful beginning to your growing journey.
While some growers prefer the "2 cup" method, petri dish, or other alternatives, which are suitable for those comfortable with their planting and germination routines, we strongly recommend the method listed for beginner and novice cultivators.
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
- Paper towels or coffee filters
- Distilled water
- Silberhaze Seedzers® (or tweezers)
- Sterile gloves
- Sealed container or plastic bag
Step 2: Preparing Your Workspace
1. Wash your hands thoroughly to prevent contamination.
2. Choose a clean, well-lit workspace with minimal airflow to avoid seed displacement.
Step 3: Pre-soaking Seeds
1. Pour a small amount of distilled water into a container.
2. Using Seedzers® (or tweezers), place Silberhaze Genetics seeds into the water.
3. Allow seeds to pre-soak for 12-24 hours. Monitor for any seeds that float; these may be less viable.
Step 4: Creating the Germination Environment
1. Moisten a paper towel or coffee filter with distilled water, ensuring it's damp but not saturated.
2. Place pre-soaked seeds onto half of the damp paper towel or coffee filter.
3. Fold the other half over the seeds gently to create a seed sandwich.
Step 5: Sealing and Storing
1. Place the seed sandwich into a sealed container or plastic bag to maintain moisture.
2. Store the container in a warm, dark place – such as on top of a refrigerator or in a cupboard.
3. Check every 12 hours for sprouting. Once the taproot is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long, your seeds are ready for planting.
Step 6: Transplanting Germinated Seeds
1. Using your Seedszers® (or tweezers), carefully transplant germinated seeds into your chosen growing medium, such as soil or hydroponics.
2. Plant the seed with the taproot facing down, approximately 1/2 to 1 inch deep.
Step 7: Providing Ideal Growing Conditions
1. Ensure your cultivation environment maintains optimal conditions, including temperature, humidity, and light, according to the specific requirements of your chosen Silberhaze Genetics strain. Most of our strains will perform in any environment or grow setup. Please contact us if you have any specific questions.
2. Water your plants consistently, but avoid overwatering.
