Germination Guide
Follow these easy steps to successfully germinate your Silberhaze Genetics seeds!
Step 1: Gather Your Supplies
- Silberhaze Genetics™ Seeds
- Paper towels or coffee filters
- Distilled water
- Silberhaze Seedzers® (or tweezers)
- Sterile gloves
- Sealed container or plastic bag
Step 2: Preparing Your Workspace
- Wash your hands thoroughly to prevent contamination.
- Choose a clean, well-lit workspace with minimal airflow to avoid seed displacement.
Step 3: Pre-soaking Seeds
- Pour a small amount of distilled water into a container.
- Using Seedzers® (or tweezers), place Silberhaze Genetics seeds into the water.
- Allow seeds to pre-soak for 12-24 hours. Monitor for any seeds that float; these may be less viable.
Step 4: Creating the Germination Environment
- Moisten a paper towel or coffee filter with distilled water, ensuring it's damp but not saturated.
- Place pre-soaked seeds onto half of the damp paper towel or coffee filter.
- Fold the other half over the seeds gently to create a seed sandwich.
Step 5: Sealing and Storing
- Place the seed sandwich into a sealed container or plastic bag to maintain moisture.
- Store the container in a warm, dark place – such as on top of a refrigerator or in a cupboard.
- Check every 12 hours for sprouting. Once the taproot is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long, your seeds are ready for planting.
Step 6: Transplanting Germinated Seeds
- Using your Seedzers® (or tweezers), carefully transplant germinated seeds into your chosen growing medium, such as soil or hydroponics.
- Plant the seed with the taproot facing down, approximately 1/2 to 1 inch deep.
